Introduction to Fantino $702,478.89 in donations
Fantino campaign donor lists are like an open window into the world of Julian Fantino. The top cop. The senior’s senior. Who are the people who support Fantino? The people on the donor lists range from a Justice of the Peace to people charged with serious crimes to developers and campaign co-chairs, Insurance company owners, to builders and and former politicians to personal friends to the parents of one Harper’s communication staff and the list goes on.
During his by-election, Julian Fantino raised $519,293.89 or over a half million dollars. Yes, over a HALF MILLION dollars. It’s an obscene amount of money for one man’s campaign to get elected. During the general election, Julian Fantino raised 183,185.00 more.
Let’s compare that to the average Canadian.
For an individual elderly family, at $55,200 it would take 12.72 years to make that same money. It would take an individual elderly male at $32,300 more than 21.74 years to make that money. Fantino? For the by-election, raised the money with one large fund raiser and possibly two small ones, or three days work. For the general election, one fund raiser, with little detail on others. Between the two elections, Julian Fantino raised $702,478.89. That’s more money than the average Canadian will make in their entire life. The amount well exceeds the maximum spending limits for the two campaigns.
We wonder who Fantino could raise almost 3/4 of a million dollars from, so we looked their names up on the internet. If you’re curious, and you want to know the people who supported and funded the campaigns of the Associate Minister of Defense Fantino, the list of names is in the spreadsheets.
